A downloadable game

The Universal Action System is a d6-based classless, level-less, dice pool ttrpg system  for use with any genre.

To use this system make two pools of d6s, ideally different colors (I recommend Chessex's sets of 12mm d6s), one color represents Advantages, and the other represents Difficulties. Players describe what they want to do in four stages:

A. Define your Action — what do you want to do
B. Declare your Targets — who or what will this effect
C. Determine your Range — how far away and/or for how long
D. Describe your Flavor — why are you better at this than someone else

Each step adds Advantage Dice to your roll based on your character's Abilities as well as Difficulty Dice based on the situation or your choice to try to increase its effectiveness.

Roll all your dice and pair off Advantages and Difficulty from highest to lowest. For each pair an Advantage that is equal to or higher than the Difficulty counts as a Success, otherwise, it counts as a Failure. As long as you have at least as many Successes as Failures your action Succeeds!

That's it!

Download the full rules for details on Stats, Willpower, XP, and Character Advancement. These rules are still being playtested so experiment for yourself with things like how much XP Character Advancement choices should cost.
